      Mechanical Engineering(Production)

Mechanical Engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering physics and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production and operation of machinery. This field of engineering requires an understanding of core concepts in mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, structural analysis, etc.

The undergraduate programme is aimed to inculcate a spirit of inquiry, stipulate the power of thinking, create analytical and experimental abilities, and elicit interest in post graduate courses. The college follows a curriculum which gives the students a firm basis in the conventional aspects of mechanical engineering. Apart from this it also concentrated on familiarizing them with emerging technology (AutoCad, Solid Works, etc). The department has an intake of 180 for B Tech and 18 for M Tech.
