        Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a field of engineering that deals with the study and applications of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical engineers work on diverse range of technologies from the design of household appliances, wiring and lighting buildings, telecommunication systems, electrical power stations and satellite communications.

        The undergraduate programme is aimed to inculcate a spirit of inquiry, develop the power of thinking, create analytical and experimental abilities, and generates interest in post graduate courses. The syllabus includes subjects like application of power electronics to power systems, digital electronics and logic, microprocessors and applications, object design, control systems etc. The skills developed are diverse fields which include basic circuit theory, designing and problem solving which prepare the students to meet the ever increasing challenges of the industry. The department has an intake of 60 for B Tech.
