Resource Utilization

        Centre collects information resources in various formats and media, mainly of print, digital, a-v materials, CDROM, etc. Special collections on Kerala history, culture, language, spirtuality and publications on the great saint Sri Narayana Guru are also available in the library. Reference section consists of more than 1500 titles.

Journals including the back volumes are available for reference. Photocopies of the articles are given on request.

List of journals subscribed


Books are arranged according to DDC Scheme and its broad structure is given below for reference of the users. Bay /Guide cards are displayed in the stalk bay for ease of the users. Each book is assigned with a Call Number which consists of a Class Number and Book Number. Class Number indicates the subject dealt in the book. Book Number individualizes a book from among others having same Class Number. The arrangement ensures that the subject books are shelved together with those on related subjects coming next to them. Members are advised to consult OPAC on terminals provided in the library first before proceeding to shelves. Collections are Open access. The members after obtaining details from the OPAC can proceed to the relevant sections to obtain books of their choice.
